Back in 2017, I wrote that you should Pass on the Steak, Head to Peter Luger For Their Amazing Burger.
The Brooklyn restaurant is famous for this steak, burger, creamed spinach (not my thing) and a variety of other menu items. Last month, Eater wrote how the restaurant, Just Dropped Its First New Menu Item in 20 Years.
The new menu item, a steak sandwich has had mixed reviews. We planned to give it a try but for now we’re going to pass.
The famed steakhouse has another new menu item coming out next month. However, it won’t be available at their restaurants.
The collaboration with Mimi Cheng’s will be available at their three shops in New York City.
The Peter Luger X Mimi Cheng’s offering will be a bao stuffed with Peter Luger’s house dry-aged steak, horseradish cream, house sauce, and caramelized onions according to Eater.
In May, we tried Mimi Cheng’s dumpling collab with famed Brooklyn pizzeria Lucali. The dumplings were delicious but definitely on the pricey side at $16,45 for an order.
The Peter Luger x Mimi Cheng’s collab sounds awesome. We’ll be away for most of August so I don’t think we’ll make it to one of their shops in time to try it.
