Philadelphia is one of our favorite places to go for a quick trip (about a two hour drive from home).
During our last visit to Philly, we spent a night at the Kimpton Palomar Philadelphia. We then decided to check out another property in the area.
We headed over to The Bellevue Hotel which is in The Unbound Collection By Hyatt.
I was able to book the hotel using one of my Hyatt Free Night Category 4 certificates.
What’s funny is that I was trying to get rid of one of the nights I had saved but in doing so, this stay triggered a Hyatt Brand Explorer Free Night! (No, I’m not complaining!)
The Bellevue Hotel is a very impressive building, located in downtown Philly. It’s a short walk to many attractions and there’s also lots of excellent dining options close by.

The room was very spacious and featured two queen beds which were very comfortable.
There’s also a table in the room which is useful if you want to bring food back. (We brought back breakfast from Reading Terminal Market the following morning.)
The room lacked an actual work space (one negative but not such a big deal), so this table served as the spot for me to get some work done.
The walk-in closet had plenty of room to open our luggage and shelving if you want to unpack and get really comfortable here.
There’s also a nice flat screen TV and a mini fridge which is especially great to have when you’re traveling with kids. 
The bathroom was a pretty good size and it featured soap products from Guild + Pepper.
As like most hotels, the shower head was stationary. It would be nice to have a hand held shower head in the bathroom. I assume most hotels don’t bother because they’re probably more breakable…
Final Thoughts:
The Bellevue Hotel is a great property to redeem a Hyatt Free Night at. The room was comfortable and spacious (but there is a lot of dead space). The property is in an excellent location, making it a great place to stay on a visit to Philadelphia.
