A couple of weeks back, I shared news that the first trailer for the the upcoming Anthony Bourdain film, Roadrunner was out.
The film is a behind the scenes look at how Bourdain went from obscurity to a cultural icon. I’m definitely planning to see it once it comes out.
Roadrunner, A Film About Anthony Bourdain and Resy will be hosting A Brasserie Les Halles Pop Up for one weekend in July!
For those of you unfamiliar with Les Halles, its the restaurant “that served as the backdrop for Bourdain’s breakthrough memoir Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly. Bourdain became the executive chef in 1998, and even after stepping away to focus on his television shows, he maintained a relationship with Les Halles until the location closed in 2016“, according to the Resy blog.
The pop-up will take place July 9-11 at the restaurant’s original location in NYC at 411 Park Avenue South at 28th Street.
Tickets for the pop-up aren’t cheap at $95 for a three-course prix fix menu but I’m willing to bet they sell out pretty fast. The menu includes French onion soup, steak frites with au poivre sauce and a choice of dessert.
Tickets go on sale on sale on June 24th at 10:00AM EST to the general public. American Express card members who have their card on file on Resy receive exclusive 48 hour early access to buy tickets to the event.
While I’d love to dine at Les Halles again, $95 per seat is a bit too pricey for me.
