While dining at The Soup Company in Vik, Iceland, it was time for a potty break. I headed to the bathroom with my 7 year-old son Lucas and came across a bizarre sign.
I’ve seen other odd bathroom- related signs over the years but this one was very different.
From what I recall, Lucas spotted the sign above the hand dryers after he washed his hands. He pointed out the sign to me and asked what it meant.
I had to think about it for a moment and think of what it could actually be referring to.The sign above the hand dryers stated, “For drying hands ONLY!“.
At first, I couldn’t figure out what else you might stick into one of these hand dryers. When looking at this kind of dryer, I think it’s pretty obvious that they’re only meant to be used to dry hands!
But then I thought a bit bigger picture (so to speak). While we were visiting Iceland over the summer, I suppose when it is very cold and wet out, the dryer might come in handy to help dry a soaked pair of gloves, socks or maybe a hat.
What do you think?

Emily- That’s ridiculous! lol
I saw a girl trying to try her wet bathing suit in one once. Needless to say it didn’t really work. But it was funny.
Paco- Can’t imagine that working well with this kind of dryer!
