While I tend to enjoy airline food, I’m not sure that this is true for most of you.

One airline, however serves food that is so well liked by customers that they now have it available at a restaurant on the ground.

The restaurant, called Santan serves food which is offered on AirAsia flights.

Lonely Planet writes that, “last year over 24 million Santan hot meals were served in-flight, often sparking conversations on social media.”

The AirAsia fast food restaurant  Santan and T&CO Cafe debuted at the Mid Valley City Megamall in Kuala Lumpur recently.

A variety of popular inflight dishes are available like Nasi Lemak and Uncle Chin’s Fried Rice. The restaurant also serves tea, snacks and desserts.

AirAsia won’t be stopping with just one location of their in flight inspired fast food restaurant. Five Santan restaurants are being planned to open by the end of 2020. They also plan for 100 franchised restaurants to open in the next 5 years.
