Tragedy struck aboard the Carnival Fantasy over the weekend.

A 22 year- old male passenger with autism “climbed over the rail of the Fantasy ship,” according to Yahoo News.

The family of Luke Renner believes that he jumped off the ship believing that he was going for a swim.

The Carnival Fantasy left Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, heading off for a five day cruise.

Renner was traveling with Wishes 4 Me, “a Non- Profit Organization that assist adults who are disabled to live a more active and involved lifestyle.”

According to Yahoo, Renner “loved cruises.” His family was happy that he was with Wishes 4 Me, “a supportive community” when he died. Instead of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to Wishes 4 Me.

Back in January, I wrote about a woman who fell overboard from the Carnival Triumph ship. Sadly, the year started and ended with tragedy for the cruise line.
