Back in May former MLB star and New York Mets player Lenny Dykstra was arrested for an incident during an Uber ride.
The story got a bit weirder when Dykstra claimed that the Uber driver kidnapped him.
ESPN reported earlier today that Dykstra was indicted for drugs and threats “stemming from an altercation with an Uber driver in May“.
In a continued sad fall from grace, Dykstra is being charged with cocaine & methamphetamine possession and making terroristic threats. ESPN mentions that all of the charges are third-degree crimes which can be punishable by a sentence of up to 5 years in prison.
Dykstra was a fan-favorite on the World Champion 1986 Mets and 3 time All Star with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Besides his latest troubling incident, he’s served time in prison for bankruptcy fraud, grand theft auto and money laundering.
