Over the years I’ve written about our visits to McDonald’s locations around the world.
While I rarely dine at McD’s at home, I love trying out items which are on international McDonalds menus that aren’t offered in the US.
I’ve previously written about McDonald’s we’ve visited in:
- Russia
- Japan
- Serbia
- Germany
- Romania
- USA (Mozzarella Sticks)
- Mexico
- Nicaragua
- Canada
- Poland
- Costa Rica
- Ireland
- Korea
- Fiji
- Samoa
- American Samoa
- Greece
I’ve also visited McDonald’s in many other countries that I haven’t written about. (I also have reviews for two more countries which we’ve recently visited in the works…)
McDonald’s is moving their headquarters to a new location in Chicago. The headquarters will have a restaurant inside which will be serving some international McDonalds menu items!
This new McD’s location adds to the list of reasons that I’d like to visit the Windy City again in the near future.
The Chicago Tribune reports that, “The new location will feature a rotating menu of food served in McDonald’s restaurants around the world. The 6,000-square-foot restaurant is on the ground floor of the global fast food chain’s new nine-story corporate headquarters.”
The first batch of international items will include:
- Mighty Angus Burger from Canada
- McSpicy Chicken Sandwich from Hong Kong
- Cheese & Bacon Loaded Fries from Australia
- Two varieties of salads served in France
- McFlurry Prestigio served in Brazil
The headquarters location will also have a“Latin American-style dessert center and McCafe coffee drinks typically served in Australia“.
This list of international items sounds a bit underwhelming to me but if I was ordering from it, I’d be most interested in the Australian loaded fries.
Besides offering most typical McD’s items, the international McDonalds menu options will rotate every couple of months.
Do you like to visit McDonald’s when you travel to international destinations? If so, what are some of your favorite menu items?
