It’s going to be cheeseburgers in paradise in New York City as plans were announced for the opening of a Margaritaville Resort in Times Square.

Margaritaville Resorts as well as a variety of other businesses (like casinos and restaurants) are “heavily inspired by Jimmy Buffett lyrics and solely Jimmy Buffett Lyrics”, according to Fox News.

The NYC property will be located at 560 Seventh Avenue. The new Margaritaville Resort will be spread over 29 stories, having 234 guest rooms.

The resort will also feature retail space, a rooftop location of the  Landshark Bar & Grill, rooftop pool and a bunch of “Margaritaville-branded eateries and bars“.

The resort is set to open in 2020 but no exact date has been mentioned. The NYC Margaritaville will cost a pricey $300 million to build.

The brand currently has properties in Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Cayman Islands, Louisiana with around 5 others in the works.

Have you ever stayed at a Margaritaville Resort? If so, how did you find the property to be?
