A Norwegian Air flight had to be diverted for a pretty scary reason.
The plane had to make an emergency landing in Ireland when a pilot (who ended up being identified as the captain) “became incapacitated“, according to Fox News.
Norwegian Flight DY7042 was flying from Fort Lauderdale to Copenhagen when the co-pilot had to declare a medical emergency. Luckily, a third pilot was on the flight, helping with the emergency landing at Shannon Airport.
The flight was met at Shannon Airport by authorities and paramedics. The captain was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Passengers and crew went to the airport transit lounge and were given meal vouchers.
Fox doesn’t mention at what time the flight made the emergency landing. The article does say that the flight continued its journey at 1:30 pm when the captain was replaced.
