A charter plane carrying the Oklahoma City Thunder was damaged pretty badly in-flight while flying from Minneapolis to Chicago.
The plane was operated by Delta Airlines. Photos that players shared to social media show a massive dent in the nose.
Something hit the plane in mid-air. Delta thinks it was a bird. When you look at the photo above, you’ve got to wonder- how big of a bird could’ve hit the plane to cause such an impact!
Luckily everyone onboard was OK.
One Oklahoma City Thunder team official mentioned that the flight was a bit rough but nothing out of the ordinary.
The flight took off after the Thunder’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves around 11:30 PM. It landed at Chicago’s Midway Airport a little after 1 AM.
The late flight drama didn’t seem to have any effect on the outcome of the team’s Saturday game. They crushed the Chicago Bulls with a score of 101-69.
