In-flight entertainment has gotten much better these days thanks to Wifi and on-demand programming.
Imagine how cool it would be to be entertained with an in-flight concert! Kenny G, the world- famous saxophone player did just that last weekend.
The flight was going from Tampa to Los Angeles when the fight attendants asked (over the intercom) for help to raise $1,000 for Delta G.O. Relay for Life. They then mentioned that if the goal was beaten, an impromptu performance by Kenny G would take place in-flight.
T+L mentions that “It took passengers just five minutes to help raise more than $2,000 for the American Cancer Society via the Relay for Life initiative.”
Delta tweeted Kenny G to thank him for helping to raise money for Relay for Life.
I wondered if a saxophone would be a bit loud for the confined spaces of an airplane. T+L shared a recording of the impromptu concert and it happened to sound really great. Kenny G walked slowly down the aisle while he played and it seemed like more than half of the passengers were recording!
