I recently got approved for the Chase United Explorer credit card (after calling in to the reconsideration line).
I’ll earn 55,000 bonus miles once I hit the $2,000 spend within the first three months. (The card came with a 50K offer and I will also earn an addition 5K due to adding an authorized user.
While the miles were the reason that I signed up for the card, for a limited time I can also earn entries for a chance to win a trip to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Visa is sponsoring the giveaway.

shirley- Sounds like a great prize! I’d love to attend an Olympics at some point.
I went to the Olympics in Vancouver from a sweepstakes win. I’ve never been previously and it was awesome. Seating comes in Categories A, B, C, etc. Category A seating (which we had) was the best available- so for ski jumping we were sitting down (most “seating” was standing), for hockey we were against the glass with Bob Costas and the NBC crew commentating just steps away, and almost front row for curling (a huge sport in Canada). We also attended awards ceremonies, and the trip included transportation to all the venues and spending money. If you’re going to go to the Olympics, this is the way to go- the trip was valued over $10,000. The taxes were worth it. Good luck!
