I’ve been a fan of crime shows on CBS for years. One of my favorites has definitely been Criminal Minds, a show that I still currently watch.
I also love travel-related shows like The Amazing Race, Globe Trekker, Bizarre Foods, Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, Survivor and others along those lines.
CBS will soon be combining crime and travel in a new spinoff, Criminal Minds Beyond Borders.
The show “is a drama about the specialized International Division of the FBI tasked with solving crimes and coming to the rescue of Americans who find themselves in danger while abroad“, according to CBS.
Sounds pretty interesting, right?
The show debuts on Wednesday, March 16 at 10pm ET.
Criminal Minds Beyond Borders has a couple of actors in the cast that I am familiar with:
- Gary Sinise: (Lieutenant Dan from Forest Gump & Mac Taylor from CSI:NY) plays Union Chief Jack Garrett.
- Tyler James Williams: (Noah from The Walking Dead, Chris on Everybody Hates Chris) plays Russ “Monty” Montgomery.
The rest of the cast is made up of:
- Alana De La Garza as Clara Seger
- Daniel Henney as Matthew Simmons
- Annie Funke as Mae Jarvis
With the show combining two of my favorite kinds of television, I’ll definitely be watching. I wonder if Criminal Minds Beyond Borders will loosely incorporate real-life cases into storylines?
What do you think of the new spinoff? Will you be interested in checking it out?
