Here’s some interesting JetBlue News…
JetBlue will be start flying a new route from Fort Lauderdale- Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (PLS) on November 19.
Even though the flights won’t be operating for another four months, here is some very good news if you’re interested in flying this route.
In a press release that I received from JetBlue I found out that flights from FLL to PLS are now on sale!
While I don’t know what the regular pricing will be for these flights, the airline is currently offering a special introductory fare of $99 each way (including government taxes & fees).
With JetBlue already being the largest carrier to the Caribbean (from the US), these new routes show the airline’s commitment to the region according to the press release. It is “also part of JetBlue’s ongoing growth at its focus city in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Fla., where it now offers flights to more than 40 destinations. Eight new destinations, including Turks and Caicos, have been announced just this year“.
The route will be flown on the Embraer 190 “which features the most legroom in coach and spacious two-by-two seating“.
Keep in mind that luggage is no longer free on JetBlue but snacks, soft drinks and movies are.
The $99 intro fare offer needs to be booked by July 21 at 11:59 PM ET so there’s only a little over one day left to book at this price. The offer is good for flights from 11/19/15 to 2/9/16. Blackout dates apply.
Have any of you ever visited Turks and Caicos? If so, let us know how it was. (I almost went there years back but the flights didn’t work for our break.)
