We got home late last night from our first trip of the summer. Kim, Lucas and I had a very nice time traveling around Nicaragua.
As usual, it’s never enough time as we could’ve used another 5-7 days to see more of the country. I’d mark this visit an incomplete one since there is more that I’d like to see and do in Nicaragua in the future.
While I had an internet connection at each of our accommodations, I didn’t have the time to keep up with anything new going on in the world of miles and points. Hopefully I didn’t miss anything important while we were away! (And if I did, feel free to clue me in in the comments below.)
And now it’s time to take a look back at some of this past week’s posts in a recap that I like to call The Rehash!
Some tragic news as a plane crashed into home, killing 3 aboard.
Here is another fun quiz from BBC- why do you travel?
Pilots fired for taking selfies with model during flight. Some commented with more details about what went down and say the pilots were fired for having the model in the cockpit, touching controls during takeoff… Either way, it sounds like a very unprofessional and dangerous game to play…
I need to get back to DC even more so now that the photo ban was lifted on White House Tours.
This sounds like a pretty awesome place to visit before your flight out of T5… The JetBlue T5 Rooftop opens for all at JFK.
This has got to be one of the more absurd offers I’ve seen… An odd Club Carlson credit card bonus offer.
A great way to save money, recycle, go green and help the environment as United Airlines will fly planes powered by food scraps, animal fat & farm waste.
This has got me very interested as Cuba is one of the top destinations I’d love to visit. The first JetBlue NYC to Cuba charter took flight on Friday.
My team, the NY Mets had their flight diverted a couple of nights back. I’m glad to hear that their radio play by-play voice is recovering and will be back on-air Friday night.
Chase Ink Plus, A quick & easy retention call. I’m wondering now if I made the right decision…
That’s all I’ve got. How did your week go in terms of miles, points and travel?
