When flying, Kim and I rarely ever travel with carry-on luggage. There’s a couple of good reasons for this but I think one of them may have just been solved.

On just about all of our trips, Kim and I are packing for three people. If we were to bring carry-on bags I don’t think that it would be possible to fit all of our things. While Lucas’ clothes are relatively small, there are also diapers and many other things which end up taking up a lot of space.

The other problem is the TSA 3-1-1 Liquids Rule where “liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin” according to TSA.gov.

When I say liquids are an issue, I should specify that I mean Kim’s makeup. She’s tried to find smaller containers or sizes of makeup but it isn’t so simple…

I just came across an article from Travel + Leisure. The article’s title caught my attention since I felt like Kim might be interested. It also might be a good idea for a Mother’s Day gift with the holiday being less than two weeks away.

T+L wrote, Finally, A TSA-Friendly Line of Cosmetics.

The article introduces us to Stowaway Cosmetics which is “sold strictly in portable packaging” according to the article.

Stowaway Cosmetics makes a variety of beauty products like a BB cream, mascara, eye liner, lipstick, concealer and more, all in “portable packaging” according to T+L.

Products range in price from $10 to $22 and there is also the option to create you own Stowaway Kit which comes with six products. The kit makes the makeup line a bit more economical to purchase.

Stowaway is direct to consumer to keep the costs down and also uses safe ingredients. All of the products are paraben, phthalate, and cruelty-free.

I think I have a good idea of what to get Kim for Mother’s Day!
