Talk about a really creative way to sell airline tickets for a good cause…
Air Transat, a Canadian airline based out of Montreal is offering tickets to Europe (from Canada) starting at some very attractive prices through an auction on Twitter.
The best part of this deal is that all proceeds raised are being donated to a good cause- the SOS Children’s Villages.
On April 23 “flights to Europe will be auctioned off at exceptional prices” according to Air Transat. All participants will need to tweet their bids to try to get in on one of these deals.
A list of flights being offered along with their starting price is listed on the deal’s page. However, there is a quiz currently going on which can lower the starting price to as little as $1.
I’d love to participate and would consider flying to Canada if I won one of these deals however this offer is only open to Canadian residents 18 years of age and older.
FYI- I came across this offer from a tweet by @airfarewatchdog
Flights will be departing from:
- Montreal, (YUL)
- Toronto, (YYZ)
- Calgary, (YYC)
- Vancouver, (YVR)
- Quebec, (YQB)
- St-John’s, (YYT)
- Halifax, (YHZ)
Here are a few of the current offers:
Two tickets from Quebec to Paris starting at $519
Two tickets for St John’s to London starting at $813
Four tickets from Toronto to Rome starting at $1864
Don’t forget- the starting bids will be lowered as people take the quizzes.
Some Rules:
