A couple of weeks back I wrote about Southwest giving away 15 million points around the Dallas-Ft Worth area in Tweet to Meet on the Streets events.

It would’ve been nice if they spread their love to other cities like New York. (I could always use some free points!)

Southwest is back at it, this time giving away free roundtrip flights to celebrate the end of the Wright Amendment.

They again “hit the streets” and surprised people around Dallas at places like bus stops, the zoo, in parking lots and on street corners. In all, 500 lucky winners each got a roundtrip ticket anywhere Southwest flies!

It’s fun promotions like this and great customer service that make Southwest stand out to me. I also have to say that I like their unconventional boarding process.
