Shake Shack is one of my favorite burger shops and I’ve written about my love for their food many times.
Besides making great food they also try to do some good.
Here is a way to help end childhood hunger while also getting a shake from Shake Shack at a great price!
Shake Shack is hosting the 3rd Annual Great American Shake Sale to benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign throughout the month of May.
For the month of May, if you go to a Shake Shack and donate $2 or more to No Kid Hungry, you will receive a card good for one hand-spun shake valued at $5. The offer is good for your next visit. 100% of the donations will go to No Kid Hungry!
This offer is available at all Shake Shacks excluding stadiums, airports and international locations
At the first Great American Shake Sale in 2012, $135,742 was raised and in year two $285,862 was raised. This year Shake Shack has even bigger goals, they are hoping to raise at least $300,000 which is the equivalent of giving away 150,000 shakes!
The Great American Shake Sale was inspired by Share Our Strength’s Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry back in 2003 which encouraged people to host bake sales in their communities to support NKH.
In the spirit of the bake sale, Shake Shack will offer seven baked-goods inspired frozen custard flavors, one for each day of the week . Frozen custard flavors include Caramel Praline Cake, Lemon Meringue, Buttery Sugar Cookie, Oatmeal Crème Pie, Banana Bread, Chocolate Cheesecake, and Black & White Cookie.
