I’m a big fan of odd and unusual sites and museums. When I think of something along those lines, my visit to the Mutter Museum and Paper House comes to mind.
Atlas Obscura is a great site to check out if you are looking for odd, offbeat and fun sites that you won’t typically see in a guide book. “User-generated and editor curated, the Atlas is a collaborative compendium of amazing places that aren’t found in your average guidebook”
I’ve searched and used Atlas Obscura many times and have found some great sites to visit thanks to it!
Obscura Day takes place on April 28, 2012.
This is a day to get special access and tours to some of the odd sites featured on Atlas Obscura (The event is also organized by them). Events take place in cities and towns all over the world. If there isn’t an event happening near you, Atlas Obscuras suggests that you organize something.

Cool. I just visited the Mutter Museum. Very interesting but I was hoping for more intense of an exhibit.
Thanks for the link to Obscura.
My wife and I really liked the Mutter and I’d definitely go again. I am not sure how much more intense they can get than some of the specimens on display!
Glad you like the link to Atlas Obscura!
Glad you are enjoying it! Have fun with it.
Thanks for posting about this site! It is really cool!
