A great way to earn easy miles and points is with the various airline & hotel dining programs. However, one major problem that I’ve mentioned in the past is the limited amount of restaurants that participate close to home.

Odds are you won’t earn tons of points through the dining programs but they are a good way to earn some extra miles/ points and a great way to extend your accounts expiration dates.

I just received an e-mail from United MileagePlus Dining which also applies to all of the other dining program accounts.

Use This: Eater’s Airport Dining Guides

I’ve never been one to get excited about eating at an airport before a flight but in recent years, the dining options have been greatly improving. 

With the opening of Shake Shack and other impressive food options at Delta’s Terminal 4 at JFK last May, my thoughts about airport dining began to change.

While flying to Florida over Thanksgiving, we had a connection in Atlanta. We didn’t have much time between flights. Kim, Lucas and I were happy to see Chic-fil-A, practically next door to our gate. We’re not big on fast food but we happen to think that Chic-fil-A puts out possibly the best chicken sandwich, not a bad option for an airport! On the way back home, we ate at Chic-fil-A again and noticed that The Varsity, an icon in Atlanta was pretty much attached to Chic-fil-A. I can’t vouch for the food from The Varsity but I did see people consistently ordering from them.

Easy Miles & Points: Airline & Hotel Dining Programs

Screen Shot 2013-12-07 at 2.51.06 PMAfter posting about generous offers from United MileagePlus Dining and SkyMiles Dining, it made me think about other dining programs available from airline and hotel programs. I figured that it was time to take advantage of earning some easy miles and points.

I’ve been using the American Airlines dining program for years and have used only one other program in the past. In 2011 I registered for US Airways dining so I could get a hit towards the Grand Slam promotion.

I looked around online to see what other sign up bonus offers were available.
