Costa Cruises is offering to help out with the tragic events taking place in Ukraine by offering up one of its cruise ships.
Costa, the Italian subsidiary of Carnival Corp, “will be offering housing to Ukrainian refugees on its Costa Magica ship“, according to USA Today.
The ship was offered to the Italian government to help with the potential increase in the number of Ukrainian refugees which could arrive in the county.
Besides offering the use of its ship, Costa Cruises has already been helping Ukraine by sending medical supplies and medicine.
Aid to Ukraine has also been sent by Carnival Corp Chairman Mickey Arison. The Mickey and Madeleine Arison Foundation had recently announced it was pledging $3 million in donations to provide aid to Ukrainian refugees.
Carnival Cruise Line has made a $50,000 donation to World Central Kitchen in honor of its Ukrainian employees. Also, the company’s German brand AIDA Cruises has donated medical supplies and medicine.
