Back in June, I wrote how superstar chef Rick Bayless would be expanding to NYC with a fast casual concept.
The restaurant, Tortazo is a Mexican restaurant created in partnership with Jollibee.
Tortazo has a lengthy menu featuring tortas, bowls, quesadillas, soups, salads and even a kids menu. No, it probably won’t be easy to decide on what to order!
Eater reports that Tortazo “has arrived in New York City.”
This is the second location of the chain. (The first one is located in Chicago at the Willis Tower.)
We’ve tried Bayless’s Tortas Frontera at Chicago’s O’Hare airport a couple of times and really enjoyed it. I’m definitely looking forward to giving Tortazo a try soon.
Tortazo’s New York City location is in Nomad at 1123 Broadway between West 25 and 26th streets.
