On a recent Frontier Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Miami, Duct tape was used to restrain an unruly passenger.

During the flight, Maxwell Berry”groped two flight attendants and got into a physical altercation with another,” according to NBC News. This unacceptable and ridiculous behavior led to the man being duct taped to his seat by other passengers.

The trouble began after Berry had a couple of drinks. After he finished the drinks, “he brushed his cup against a flight attendant’s buttocks. The flight attendant told him “don’t touch me,” according to the arrest report.”

Soon after, he ordered a third drink which he spilled on his shirt. He then went to the bathroom and came out shirtless. He needed help getting a shirt out of his carry- on and with putting it on.

The erratic behavior continued as he walked around the plane, groping a flight attendant’s breasts. After touching other flight attendants he was being watched and told to remain seated. Berry then punched the flight attendant in the face.

As the fight broke out, Berry was taped down to his seat with duct tape and also tied with a seatbelt extender.

When the plane landed, Berry was arrested. As for the flight attendants, they were placed on paid leave, pending an investigation.

I am not one who likes to drink on flights. In this current climate which has had a huge uptick in fights and flight attendant assaults on planes, maybe it’s time to limit or stop serving alcohol on flights. What do you think?
