An unidentified NFL player and another man are suing United Airlines for sexual assault during a flight.
When I first came across the headline, I thought I had misread it. I assumed that the NFL player was being accused of sexual assault. No, this is definitely not the case.
In this surprising story, the NFL player and the other male were allegedly assaulted during a flight back in February.
Fox News shared details that “Bleacher Report’s Master Tesfatsion reported the news on Wednesday that the professional football player and a second man, both of whom chose not to be identified in the lawsuit, were aboard a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey when the woman repeatedly made “unwanted sexual advances.”
It was only after a fourth complaint and inappropriate touching that the woman was finally moved to another seat.
The woman was seated in the same row as the NFL player and the other man in economy plus. She appeared to look “disheveled and unbalanced”. The men also saw her taking prescription pills which she did admit to.
The assault began when the woman started massaging the player’s leg.
Fox shared these details from the lawsuit that, “Fearful of the perception of being a male victim and the racial stigma of being a young African American male, John Doe 1 patiently pleaded for assailant to stop and removed her hand,” the lawsuit states.”
She continued the inappropriate touching and then moved onto the second victim until she was finally moved to another seat.
The lawsuit claims that the assault, which was physical, sexual and verbal, could’ve been prevented had the airline taken action sooner.
Wow… Talk about a crazy story. I’m a bit surprised that the staff aboard the plane waited so long to take action in moving the woman. I also wonder if she was arrested when the plane landed. There was no mention of what happened after she was moved out of her original seat.
