If you like staying in interesting and bizarre accommodations then this Airbnb might just be for you.
The listing I’m talking about is the Big Idaho Potato Hotel located in Boise.
The giant potato was used by the Idaho Potato Commission’s Big Idaho Potato Tour, traveling on a semi to 48 states for seven years.
Former Big Idaho Potato Tour spokesperson Kristie Wolfe designed this one room hotel which is now located on a 400 acre farm just outside downtown Boise.
The room, I mean potato contains “amenities such as power outlets for your electronic devices, a mini fridge, old records to play and a custom-built bed.” As a bonus, there’s also a silo which was turned into a spa retreat.
Sadly, there’s no TV or WiFi at the property.
Spending a night at the giant potato costs $200, definitely not a cheap stay. However, this doesn’t seem to be an issue. There’s no availability until June 5.
Could you imagine spending a night at the Big Idaho Potato Hotel? I think it would be a lot of fun. And think of the bragging rights! How many of your friends and family could say that they too slept inside a huge tuber!
