Around two years back I figured that it would be fun to share some of my travel photos on Instagram.
Besides sharing photos on Instagram, the site is a great place to see other people’s awesome photos. One of my favorite accounts is @paperboyo. I think that you really NEED to see his photos.
In October I was happily surprised to receive 10,000 Club Carlson points for this photo.
With millions of photos being posted each day, you might wonder, what city is the most Instagrammed?
If I had to make a guess off the top of my head, I’d probably guess a place like Paris or Las Vegas.
Conde Naste Traveler had an article with the 10 Most Instagrammed Cities of 2017.
I was definitely curious to find out which city took the top spot.
Here are the Top 10 Instagrammed Cities for 2017:
- New York, NY (for the second year in a row)
- Moscow, Russia
- London, UK
- Sao Paulo, Brazil
- Paris, France
- Los Angeles, California
- Saint Petersburg, Russia
- Jakarta, Indonesia
- Istanbul, Turkey
- Barcelona, Spain
I should’ve picked my home city of NY for the top spot but I think the lights of Las Vegas blurred my vision. The city didn’t crack the Top 10 list. My guess of Paris was more on point, coming in at #5.
I was surprised to see Jakarta make the list and it was interesting that the two countries to have two cities in the top 10 were the U.S. and Russia.
On a personal note, the only city in the top 10 which I’ve yet to visit is Jakarta, Indonesia.
