Ride-share services like Uber and Lyft have gotten extremely popular over the past few years. They can even be considered essential to travel plans.
With the increase in popularity, these services face a lot of competition. I assume that due to this, promo offers for free or discounted rides come around quite often.
I recently received an offer from Lyft which could save me up to $100.
The offer is targeted “for users who received this email directly from Lyft“.
Here is how the offer works:
From 1/28 through 2/5/17 I can get 10% off Lyft rides. This gives me one week to take advantage of the offer. With the offer I can save up $10 per ride, a maximum 10 times.
How realistic is it that I actually save $100 with this offer?
Besides airport rides, when I’ve used Uber and Lyft, they’ve tended to be for short trips ranging in price from $7- $30. With that said, if I use this Lyft rides offer, I can’t see saving more than a few $$$ per ride.
Are you a fan of Uber, Lyft and other ride- share services? If so, which has been your favorite so far?
