Airports offer a variety of different amenities to help travelers pass the time and be more comfortable while flying.
At Las Vegas McCarran Airport you can stick with the city’s theme and do some gambling. A woman even won $1,000,000 there earlier in the year. JFK Airport has a pet relief area and an outdoor roof deck to relax at. Some airports offer free tours during long layovers.
There are many other airport amenities to be found and a fun, free new one opened earlier today at Denver Airport.
If you like to go ice skating you can now do so for free at Denver Airport for a limited time thanks to a new pop-up!
At the rink there will be free skate rentals, music playing, carolers singing and a winter market close by. The rink will be open 7 days a week from 9AM- 9PM until January 1, 2017.
To help you get ready for your free ice time, there will also be a changing area and a place to store your carry-on luggage. The rink will also have some special events like an ugly sweater party, performances by school music groups and movie screenings.
One of the best parts of the ice skating rink pop-up is the price, which (like I mentioned above) is free thanks to a sponsorship from United Airlines.
While I’m not into ice skating this pop-up still sounds like an awesome airport amenity and a great way to kill some time during a layover!
