Amex Offers has been adding a lot of really good money-saving offers recently with some related to travel.
A couple of weeks back there was an offer to get $50 off $100 with Airbnb. I ended up claiming this offer on four cards between Kim and myself. We see Airbnb being a likely option for our winter trip so this was defintiely good timing.
I also got two different Amex Offers to Shop Small. Those offers expire on 11/28 so I need to make sure to use them before I miss out.
Yesterday morning I came across a very nice offer where I can save 50% on an upcoming Uber ride.
Amex Offers is offering $10 off an upcoming ride of $20 (or more) with Uber until 12/31/15.
While I doubt that I’ll have time to take advantage of this offer, I still claimed it just in case on three American Express cards.
With the offer you can get a one time $10 statement credit when you make a single $20 or more purchase through the Uber app. Besides the fact that I probably won’t get to use the offer, the majority of our Uber rides have only been in the $10 range.
Some Rules:
- Enrollment is limited.
- Offer is only good for rides in U.S.
- Card which is enrolled in offer must be the card on file for your Uber account.
- If you’re enrolled in the Amex program with Uber you will not earn additional Membership Rewards points on the $10 fare savings.
What do you think of this Amex Offer? Do you plan to take advantage of the savings or are you not much of a fan of Uber?
FYI– If you don’t already have a Uber account, you can sign up with my link. You’ll get your first ride free, up to $15 and after you take your ride, I’ll also earn a free ride up to $15.
Nick- That’s a good question. I can’t see why this would be accepted considering you have a credit card on file which is then charged at the end of your ride.
Can’t you just store $20 as an Uber credit and still get the $10? I
