Last year various airlines got creative putting together fun videos related to spreading holiday cheer & giving.
There was Delta’s Cheer Cart, American Airlines & WestJet’s Gift Giving Videos and JetBlue’s #FlyItForward.
This year there have been more holiday videos (check out WestJet’s Christmas Miracle 2014 here).
I came across a tweet from Hyatt yesterday which led to a video which shows how they surprised over 200 guests worldwide in just two days with holiday gifts!
The video is on Hyatt’s Tumblr page called #InAHyattWorld.
20 Hyatt social media elves were responsible for surprising guests around the world with upgrades, amenities and more.
Based on the video, it looks like Hyatt’s social media team had a blast surprising the guests. However, it would’ve been fun to see the reactions of the guests which got surprises.
I’m wondering if Hyatt plans to add another video in the near future as an update to this one. Hopefully that is their plan.
Check out the video:
What do you think of Hyatt’s video? Maybe a bit incomplete? Hopefully more is on the way.

DWG- That sounds really awesome! I wonder if other Carlson properties did similar things. We’ve been fans of Club Carlson due to their wide variety of hotels (budget-higher end), the stay 2, get 1 free offer with the credit card, welcome amenity offer and great customer service.
I’m currently staying at the Park Plaza at Westminster Bridge in London. Everyone staying here received a knock on the door last night, maybe around 7 pm, and received a Christmas stocking filled with: a bag of fresh baked cookies and sweets (from the on site restaurant, I think), two tubes of hand lotion from their on site spa,and a Seasons Greetings card (containing chocolate squares and a voucher for 20 GBP off any meal their Brasserie Joel or Ichihara Sushi and Sashimi restaurants, if redeemed by February 28 2015). Pretty nice surprise, from a very nice hotel! Club Carlson is on its way up, if this hotel is an indication of its ambitions for the company.
