Have you been thinking about where to travel next year? We’re pretty much booked up through the summer of 2015 already!
With the new year just days away it seems appropriate that I just came across another places to go list for 2015.
I’ve posted a few lists like:
- Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Countries 2015
- Best Places To Travel in 2015 from Frommer’s
- 2015 Best Places To Visit In U.S. from Lonely Planet
While I love reading places to go lists, they don’t tend to influence where we go. That’s based more-so on visiting places we haven’t been to yet as well as award availability and coming across great deals/ mistake fares.
The newest places to go list is from Fodor’s and is known as their “Go List”.
Fodor’s list has “25 can’t-miss spots that we think should be on every traveler’s radar in 2015. Featuring emerging hot spots, value destinations, locations that are hosting special events in 2015, and more, our list has something for every type of traveler, no matter what your budget or how much time you want to take off“.
Here are Fodor’s picks:
- The Arctic
- The Hudson Valley & The Catskills
- Namibia
- Guatemala
- The Florida Panhandle
- Newfoundland, Canada
- Norway
- Piedmont, Italy
- Patagonia, Chile
- Romania
- Oman
- Pilsen, Czech Republic
- Barbados
- Iceland
- Melbourne, Australia
- Singapore
- Paris
- Sri Lanka
- Cleveland
- Vietnam
- Punta Del Este, Uruguay
- Jackson Hole, Wyoming
- Guadalupe Valley, Mexico
- Bourbon Country & Louisville, Kentucky
- The Silk Road, China
I felt that Fodor’s put together an interesting and diverse grouping of suggested places to visit in the new year. I mean what other list has Cleveland and the Silk Road on it!
I’ve bolded the places we’ve already been to. If I could pick one place to go from Fodor’s picks, I’d most likely visit Sri Lanka. I’ve looked into going in the past but couldn’t find award availability.
Of the remaining places that Kim and I haven’t been to from this list, we are considering one of them for next year’s travels. Hopefully it will work out for us.
What do you think of Fodor’s Go List? Do you plan to go to any of their choices in 2015?
