In early November 2016 I was approved for the Barclaycard Arrival Plus Mastercard.
The card comes with a very solid bonus of 50,000 miles after spending $3,000 within the first 90 days. (The bonus is worth $500+ towards travel which is valuable for obvious reasons.)
Once I received my Barclaycard Arrival Plus card I made it my go-to credit card. Besides continuing to use my Ink card at office supply stores and for cable/ cellphone bills, everything I charged went to the Arrival.
I completed the $3,000 minimum spend some time in early December. However, I received an odd e-mail on December 23 reminding me that my new account bonus was about to expire. Now I’m definitely assuming that this is an automated message and I knew I completed my spend but I still checked my account to play it safe!
Then, on January 4 my 50,000 miles bonus finally posted to my account along with some miles earned for using my Barclaycard Arrival Plus.
Being a bit tardy with e-mail alerts, I received a message from Barclays with a message of “Congratulations, you’ve earned you bonus!” on January 6.
The message also let me know that my 50,000 miles would appear on my next credit card billing statement.
I do appreciate the e-mail notifications but how about trying to send out these details ASAP! Is that too much to ask?
No, I’m not serious but I do look forward to using the miles from my Barclaycard Arrival Plus for a future trip!
Interested in earning 50,000 miles with the Barclay Arrival Card?
You can apply for the 50,000 bonus miles Barclay Arrival card offer here.
FYI: If you apply and get approved for a credit card at the link above I may receive compensation. Thank you in advance for your support.
Mike L- That is definitely possible. I’m pretty sure mine showed up as 50,700. I’d have to check my account to be sure… Kinda odd.
askmrlee- That is possible but I did see the bonus a few days before that congrats e-mail.
I suppose they are waiting until your statement closes before declaring that you’ve earned your bonus.
I got the same email and my timeline was about the same as yours. I wonder if they just did email blasts instead of customized timelines. Also, the miles posted as earned with a specific purchase which I found odd (i.e instead of that $100 Lowe’s purchase counting as 200 points, it came up as 50,200 points).
