Around a year back I wrote about Virgin Hotels opening in Chicago. (The hotel opened in January 2015. Check out the press release here.)
There are also going to be locations opening in Nashville (2017), New York (2018) and Dallas (2018).
Now we can add one more location to the list.
I recently came across an article from Conde Naste Traveler which mentions that “Virgin Hotels just received approval to bring their innovative chambers and practical amenities to the Big Easy“.
During our most recent visit to New Orleans (in 2013) we stayed at the Astor Crowne Plaza located in the French Quarter. We found the hotel to be a great location and our room to be perfect for our needs.
The new Virgin Hotels in New Orleans will have 183 “chambers” (rooms) and be located on the border of the Central Business District and Warehouse districts.
During our trip we walked from our hotel over to this area and had an amazing lunch at Cochon Butcher. I’d highly recommend stopping by if you’ll be visiting N.O. in the future. We also visited the National World War II Museum which is in the area.
Virgin Hotels won’t be the only new hotel coming to the area. The Ace Hotel will be a few blocks away.
