Have you ever wanted to attend a taping of Saturday Night Live? While I rarely watch the show (I haven’t watched it much in years), I still think it would be fun to see it performed live.
I’ve always found it interesting to see shows taped in person. A lot goes on behind the scenes, with tons of people involved. (I had the chance to attend many tapings of Letterman after college while working the show as a CBS Page.)
Well if you’re interested in getting SNL tickets, now is the time to send an e-mail to enter the lottery.
The show tapes in New York City at NBC Studios in Rockefeller Plaza. Attending the show could definitely be a lot of fun for both tourists and locals .
To get tickets for the upcoming 2015-16 season of SNL there are no guarantees and you can’t even request the date you’d like to attend. The ticket lottery really is based on the luck of the draw but it’s very easy to enter.
If you’d like to have a shot at winning two tickets to SNL, all you have to do is send an e-mail to snltickets@nbcuni.com. The e-mail must be sent during the month of August.
In the e-mail make sure to include all of your contact info and do not request a date.
Those selected will get 2 tickets to a random show date and time.
Some rules:
- Only one e-mail per household is allowed
- Audience members must be at least 16 years of age
- You can only enter the ticket lottery in August
Just a reminders: sending in an e-mail entry will not guarantee you a ticket and you’ll only be contacted if you are chosen to attend.
Another way to attend a SNL taping is by trying to get stand-by tickets.
Tickets are given out the day of the show, starting at 7:00am on the 48th Street side of Rockefeller Plaza. You can choose a stand-by ticket for the 8:00pm rehearsal or 11:30pm live show. Tickets are given out one per person so it won’t be possible to grab an extra for a friend. Everyone has to show a valid photo ID when given the ticket.
So who wants to attend a taping of SNL? I already sent my e-mail entry in!
Find out more from NBC here.
(Just make sure to scroll around half way down the page to find the relevant SNL info. On the page there are details on how to get tickets to other NBC shows too.)
Colin- First of all why do you use a different name and e-mail address each time you comment? Kinda strange.
Colin & Harold- Like I said on Twitter earlier, I did not copy this from Will Run For Miles. A HT would be given if it was found from her site or someone elses. Until receiving a tweet from Colin or marc or whomever you are, I had no clue that she even posted about this.
hello michael plagarist
it’s one thing to steal other blogger’s content. it’s another thing entirely to steal a fellow BA logger’s content. Not even a a hat tip?
Seems kind of like a french shower.
I’m quite sure you copied this post from Will Run For Miles. You could at least give her a hap tip acknowledging where you got the information from.
