Two Air India pilots were grounded from flying for a pretty crazy reason. They supposedly got into a fight in the cockpit shortly before takeoff.
It’s definitely hard to believe that pilots would behave this way, especially due to the tragic crash which took place on a Germanwings plane last month.
The co-pilot supposedly attacked the captain while preparing for takeoff on a flight from Jaipur to New Delhi on Sunday.
According to Yahoo News the co-pilot got “irritated by his superior’s request to write down critical information for the flight, such as the number of passengers on board, take off weight and fuel uptake“.
He then beat up the captain due to this. Talk about great flight safety…
Surprisingly, the flight still went on after the incident.
Air India denies that the incident was more than a heated argument between the captain and co-pilot. However, according to The Times of India, “numerous airline sources said that the co-pilot abused and beat up the commander”.
The Times of India article also mentioned that the co-pilot involved has had other incidents in the past with the commanding pilot.
