The Freddie Awards were created in 1988 by Randy Petersen to honor the top airline and hotel loyalty programs.
The Freddie’s are a prestigious honor and it’s safe to say this due to so many airlines and hotels sending out e-mails urging members of their programs to cast a vote their way.
I’ll be attending my first Freddie Awards Ceremony this year at the end of April.
The ceremony takes place in Atlanta at the awesome Delta Flight Museum. I’d highly recommend a visit if you happen to be in or passing through Atlanta at some point.
With the awards coming up in just a little over a month, the voting deadline is quickly approaching.
The last day to vote for the Freddies is today March 30, 2015.
(According to e-mails I’ve previously received from some of the loyalty programs looking to drum up some votes, they said to vote before March 31.) If you’d like your voice to be heard, make sure to vote for your favorite airline and hotel programs.
When you vote, you’ll get to choose your language (the awards aren’t just targeting American travelers). You’ll then choose one of three regions to vote for programs in. The options are Americas, Europe/ Africa or Middle East/ Asia/ Oceania.
Then you’ll vote for: (both Airline & Hotel programs)
- Program of the Year
- Best Promotion
- Best Redemption Ability
- Best Customer Service
- Best Loyalty Credit Card (combined airline/ hotel)
- Best Elite Program
When you’re done you’ll see this message:
