A Seoul court found Cho guilty of “guilty of forcing a flight to change its route, obstructing the flight’s captain in the performance of his duties, forcing a crew member off a plane and assaulting a crew member“. She was found not guilty of interfering with a transport ministry investigation into the nutty flight.
Prosecutors were suggesting that Cho get 3 years in prison for what she did but in the end she’ll spend one year.
Yeon Woon-jin, a Korean Air executive that pressured employees to lie about the case will spend 8 months in prison. A 6 month sentence suspended for one year was handed down to a Transportation Ministry official for “leaking the ministry’s investigation to the airline”.
So what do you think- was causing a stink about nuts really worth losing your job over and heading to prison for?
