I recently received an e-mail invite for a special NYC New Years Eve event due to being “a valued United MileagePlus Visa cardmember“.
This is really an offer to purchase a ticket to the event using United miles and not really what I’d consider an invite.
FYI: the offer is only open to Visa cardmembers who received an e-mail event invitation…
The event takes place on NYE, December 31 at Charlie Palmer Steak.
There are two options for this offer:
Gold Ticket: 40,000 miles, includes entry for 2
From 9PM-1AM, the package includes:
- Cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres and Champagne toast
- Live DJ
- Photo booth
- New Year’s Eve themed party favors
- Taxes and gratuities for food and beverage
The offer can be purchased here.
Platinum Ticket: Bid starts at 35,000 miles, entry for 2
From 7PM-1am, the package includes everything above as well as:
- Four-course seated dinner by Chef Javier Lopez
- Wine pairing with dinner
You can bid on this package here.
Final Thoughts:
I find NYE to be an extremely overrated night. While these packages might not be a bad deal for what’s typically a pricey night to go out, I think I can definitely make better use of my United miles for a future trip.
What do you think of this exclusive New Year’s Eve event offer from United?
