Time Out recently released their list of the 49 Coolest Neighborhoods in the World.
The list’s “result was based on a survey of over 27,000 international city dwellers“, according to TONY.
I expected to see at least one neighborhood in NYC on the list. However, I didn’t think that it would be in Manhattan! (It turns out that this is the first time in 4 years that a neighborhood in Manhattan was rated at the top for NYC.)
Chelsea came in at 6th overall on the list of Coolest Neighborhoods in the World.
So why was Chelsea given this honor?
Chelsea has been named one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world (6th overall) due to creativity and innovation. Time Out mentions how the area “is bookended by two of NYC’s most high-profile new investments in public green space and sustainable public transit: Little Island, bursting with free community arts programs, and Moynihan Train Hall.”
Besides arts, the bars and restaurants have loads of outdoor dining on Eighth Avenue and the sides streets near by.
So who’s planning a visit to Chelsea soon?
