The US Bank Altitude Reserve is my go to card for mobile purchases. The card earns 3X points on all mobile payments which is pretty sweet!
While the card comes with a pricey $400/ year annual fee, its offset by a $325 annual credit good on travel and dining purchases. The credit essentially makes the card $75 per year and well worth holding onto.
US Bank sent out an offer with a very easy way to earn 1,000 points.
To earn the bonus, all you have to do is “set up automatic monthly phone bill payments with your US Bank Altitude Reserve” card. Simple enough if you ask me!
To earn the bonus, new auto-payments (recurring) have to be set up by August 31, 2021.
Some Rules:
- Points award will be applied to your account 2-3 billing cycles after the end of the promotion period
- Your account must remain open, have available credit, and be current (no minimum payment past due) to qualify
- This offer may not apply if your credit card has changed to a different card within the last 12 weeks or changes before the points award is applied
It doesn’t state how long you need to keep your card enrolled in auto-pay but I guess you can switch it to another card once the 1,000 points bonus posts.
Will you switch your mobile phone bill to auto-pay with the Altitude Reserve? I am not sure if I will since I’m already earning 5X points with my Chase Ink card.

This is a highly targeted data point. I also got this on my US Bank Flexperks card.
