In the Summer of 2018, the Michael W Travels family went on a month-long trip around Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
During our first day in Tbilisi, Georgia (Georgia was the 5/6 country we visited during the trip) we were very tired so we decided to grab lunch and then go for a walk around the city with no real plan.
After making our way to a park, we spotted a bizarre tree with a crowd around it. We walked over to see what was going on.It turns out that a man was there with his pet monkey who was dressed in a really badass outfit trying to earn some money. For a small donation, you could hold the monkey and take some photos.
I know that some of you might not agree with this kind of thing or the shirt that I’m wearing (I wore it to entertain my son Theo, almost 2 at the time) but we started chatting with the guy. Soon after we learned that the monkey was named Adam.
After a short while, we decided to get some photos with Adam.Adam the monkey was very relaxed and comfortable hanging out on my shoulder, so much that I even got a little head massage!Lucas couldn’t stop laughing at seeing a monkey dressed in clothes. At first, he was hesitant to hold Adam by himself but when he did, he couldn’t stop smiling even more!
Final Thoughts:
Overall, we didn’t do a lot during our first day in Tbilisi, Georgia but we did have a great local meal for lunch and had a blast meeting Adam the monkey!
