Most of the mail that I receive consists of junk. Bills are a given and then there are random mailers to get credit cards, refinance the mortgage and other things along those lines. (I’d bet that most of you receive similar kinds of things in the mail!)
Yesterday I received what I assumed was some junk mail from Wyndham but it ended up being a nice little surprise.
Before opening (or tearing it up) the envelope, I noticed it stated, “Luca v. Wyndham Hotel Group, LLC Settlement Administrator.”
I could barely recall signing up for a class action settlement but I was happy to accept the $22.00 award!
To jog my memory, I decided to google Luca v. Wyndham Class Action to see what came up. In my search, I came across a post fellow BoardingArea blogger The Gate which shared more details.
In the class action suit, you could claim either $22.00 or 2,200 Wyndham Rewards points “if you booked your reservation at an official Internet web site of Wyndham Hotel Group, stayed at a hotel or resort property affiliated with Wyndham Hotel Group in the United States … and paid a resort fee for that stay between Sunday, June 6, 2010 through Friday, October 18, 2019“, according to The Gate.
My guess is that I filled out the required info and then totally forgot about the class action suit. I’m pretty sure that I put in my claim for an award stay we completed at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek in September 2018.
Did you sign up for the Luca v. Wyndham Hotel group settlement? If so, did you choose to receive the cash or the points?
