Virgin Voyages has announced that it’s adding to its fleet before their first ship even sets sail. The new ship, named the Valiant Lady will double the size of the cruise line to two ships.
The company’s first ship, the Scarlet Lady is scheduled to depart on its first voyage in April 2020.
The Valiant Lady should be ready for passengers in May 2021, just a little over a year after the first Virgin Voyages ship sets sail.
The VL’s home port will be in Barcelona, Spain where it will take guests on Mediterranean cruises.
Booking will begin on December 19th for the new ship. Three different 7- night cruise itineraries will be offered. The boat will make overnight stops in destinations like France, Spain and Italy.
The cruise’s start day or sail away day will be on Sundays.
USA Today reports that “Virgin Voyages’ fleet will be made up of four ships. Two more are expected to debut in 2022 and 2023. All four are on order from shipbuilder Fincantieri.”
