The TWA Hotel at JFK airport opened less than six months ago. It was a long time coming as the project was talked about for years.
(Check out my post about the TWA Flight Center which I visited during Open House New York.)
The TWA Hotel has its own food hall, restaurants, fitness center, rooftop pool & bar and more.
I’d love to check out the hotel by spending a night but the rates are pretty expensive.
The property is now offering a very special and ridiculously pricey “private helicopter ride to have brunch” and use some of the facilities, according to Eater.
For $340 (per person) you get pre-take off drinks, a roundtrip helicopter ride with BLADE from the West Side Highway and brunch (and access) to the rooftop pool.
The offer is available on Sundays until November 3.
While a helicopter ride sounds like fun, I’d think it would be cheaper to just catch an Uber to the hotel and rent a room if you’d like access to the rooftop pool to take a dip and do some plane spotting. I’d bet that you could order lunch, brunch or dinner and still have some money to spare.
Overall, this helicopter offer sounds like a fun time if you have lots of money to thrown away.

This hotel is a dumpster fire. You don’t need to read more than a few of the tripadvisor reviews to realize that the property still hasn’t fixed the abysmal service and facilities issues. (which is pretty unreal given the timeframe of all of the critical feedback) It’s worth a trip to see the renovation and some of the decor, but unless you really hate yourself, stay somewhere else.
