Some of the easiest ways to earn miles and points is from airline (and hotel) shopping portals and dining programs.
With shopping portals and dining programs, you’re earning miles and points for things that you probably planned to buy.
For a limited time, AAdvantage eShopping is running the Back To School Bonus.
With the offer, you can earn up to 1,500 bonus American Airlines AAdvantage miles.
There are a couple of bonus tiers with each tier earning more miles for completing a higher spend through AAdvantage eShopping.
Here are the bonus miles you can earn:
- Tier 1: Spend $150, earn 500 bonus miles (3.33 miles per $1 spent)
- Tier 2: Spend $350, earn 1,500 bonus miles (4.28 miles per $1 spent)
Typically, the higher the tier you earn, the more miles on average per $1 you receive. If you earn the full bonus, Tier 2 earns almost one extra bonus miler per $1 than Tier 1.
When To Shop: Shop from July 16-26. (The e-mail offer also state that you can shop from August 9-19 but the official T&Cs do not mention these dates.)
Some Rules:
- Bonus can be earned one time.
- The bonus points earned are in addition to the standard miles earned from shopping through AAdvantage eShopping mall.
- Bonus miles should post in 8-10 weeks from when the bonus period ends.
