Lucas and I went on Our 1st Father- Son Trip back in April. After considering some destinations, I settled on Poland, a country that I hadn’t visited before.
Poland was a really good choice and both Lucas and I had a great time.

While in Poland, we started out by visiting Krakow.
After taking a morning free walking tour, Lucas and I ended up back in the Rynek Glowny, Krakow’s main square. We took some photos and wandered around a bit, noticing tons of pigeons all over. Yuck!
We also were surprised to see people hand-feeding the birds and allowing them to land on their arms, heads, I think you get the point!
It seemed like the people (mostly kids) enjoyed this experience with the pigeons but Lucas and I weren’t interested in this particular wildlife encounter. (The last time I remember seeing so many pigeons, close to people was probably in Venice, years back.)
I then noticed something really funny.
As the kids were feeding the pigeons, they’d pull off pieces of bread and toss the rings of crust onto the floor.
The birds would then go and inspect the crust. One pigeon decided that a crust ring would make for a great accessory.
This bird’s got bling!
He walked around with this edible necklace and couldn’t shake it loose.
He then figured it out. By leaning forward the crusty necklace would come off!
(I apologize for not having a photo of the pigeon once he shook the crust loose.)
