While away on our trip to Myanmar I’ve been trying to keep up with what’s going on in the world of miles and points as best as I can.
The internet connection has been slow and unpredictable but definitely still much better than I had expected it to be.
Around a week back, Frequent Miler broke the news that the Club Carlson Visa card was getting rid of the bonus award night benefit where you get the second night free when booking two or more nights.
This was definitely awful news and a good way to ruin the day… Well maybe not exactly.
As a way to try to soften the blow, all Club Carlson credit card holders can earn 30,000 bonus points on an eligible stay (when paying with the card). This offer is good one time per credit card up until August 31, 2015.
Regardless of the loss of the bonus award night benefit, we still find value in booking Club Carlson’s lower-end properties. At prices starting at just 9,000 points per night, they are definitely a good deal. (Just don’t expect a fancy room!)
With the new Triple Points Time promo, it will be even easier to earn Gold Points during upcoming Club Carlson stays.
For a limited time you can earn 60 Gold Points per dollar on eligible stays until 6/28/15.
To qualify for this offer you need to be a Club Carlson member. You’ll also need to register for the promo.
Once you register you’ll earn 1,000 points for eligible stays booked on the Club Carlson mobile app. Definitely a nice additional bonus.
