AirAsia is celebrating 2 million “Likes” on Facebook by giving away Free Seats!
Kim, Lucas and I flew around South East Asia with AirAsia in the summer of 2012 and found the experience to be a good option for getting around relatively cheap.
There isn’t much info about the offer but here is what was included in the e-mail.
- Fly From Kuala Lumpur to: Penang, Johor-Bahru, Kuching, Sibu, Singapore, Bangkok, Banda Aceh, Krabi, Palembang and more.
- Airport taxes and fees apply from $9.
- Book flights from now until October 13
- Travel from October 14, 2013- August 5, 2014
When I clicked the link provided in the e-mail it brought me to a list of low fares not free seats. I decided to try booking a flight and this was the list of free flights available. The low fares listed are the taxes and fees.
Keep in mind that if you are checking luggage to pay in advance. If you need to pay at the airport, AirAsia charges ridiculously high fees.
If you’d like a meal on the flight, you’ll have to pay for it. We found them to be pretty cheap and offered some good options. These are also best to book in advance or there might not be much to choose from during the flight.
If you’re going to be visiting Asia, head over to AirAsia to see if you can find a free seat.
